Why Rally For Bike Month?

Aside from the amazing events, the insanely awesome prizes, and the size of the smile you will have from being part of such a rad community, participating in bike month helps the environment in a hugely beneficial way.

Doubt your participation in Bike Month can make that strong of an impact on the environment? Do think again. One of the leading sources of greenhouse gas emissions comes from the burning of fossil fuels for transportation In Santa Cruz County, 60% of our emissions come from transportation. For an entire month, we could significantly cut down this percentage!

So let’s rally! How amazing it will be to see community members of all ages and backgrounds swapping their vehicles for a bicycle this month. Save on gas, inflate your bike tires, and feel healthier, all while reducing pollution in our community.
